ETC appoints Media Future to chart out strategy

ETC Music has appointed Media Futures, the media consulting wing of Lintas India, to carve out a strategy for the channel. The appointment, which took place last week, is for a period of two years. This is part of the channel’s consolidation and expansion process.

According to sources, Media Futures will devise a strategy, which will encompass various areas. Media Futures will play the role of a marketing consultant. The market for music channels at this stage consists of MTV, Channel [V], ETC Music, Zee Music and B4U Music.

This two-year renewable contract will involve Media Futures receiving a fee in the form of a monthly retainership.

According to sources, Media Futures will handle a large part of the strategy driving the channel, the ad sales function will continue to remain with ETC Music.
