ESPN Star Sports to commence telecast of cricket highlights

A special division bench of the Delhi High Court has lifted the ban imposed on the ESPN Star Sports from telecasting the highlights of the India-West Indies test series. The highlights of the second test match being played at Chennai will be aired from Thursday onwards at 8:00 p.m. on Star Sports and 11:30 pm on ESPN.

ESPN Star Sports has earlier announced the acquisition of telecast rights to feature comprehensive daily highlights of all international cricket played in India till September 2004 from PCC, which had acquired the rights from TWI and Stracon.

Starting with the first test of the India-West Indies series on October 9, both ESPN and Star Sports had started showcasing the India cricket highlights including a comprehensive analysis of all international cricket played in India.

ESPN Star Sports’ commentary team for the India Vs. West Indies series includes Sunil Gavaskar, Bobby Simpson, Ravi Shastri, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Harsha Bhogle and Alan Wilkins.
