eNBA to recognise the behind-the-scenes heroes

Reporters, video editors, camerapersons and producers, who work 24x7 to bring news to our living rooms, remain largely unknown. Not any more. e4m News Broadcasting Awards (eNBA) seeks to bring these unsung heroes to the forefront. Have you sent the names of your behind-the-scenes workhorses yet?

The e4m News Broadcasting Awards are being held in New Delhi on August 27, 2011. Shekhar Gupta, Editor-in-Chief, The Indian Express, is the Jury Chairperson this year.

To recognise the contributions of these unsung heroes of the news broadcasting industry, eNBA has a special category of awards under Personality, which is open to entries in English and all Indian languages. The Personality Awards constitute:

Best Anchor: To be awarded to an anchor who has demonstrated insight and knowledge of both content and the medium.

Best Spot News Reporting: To be awarded for a reporter's enterprise on a single news story. Entries must rely on "on-the-scene" coverage of an unscheduled and unanticipated news story.

Best Continuing Coverage by a Reporter: To be awarded for a reporter’s effort demonstrated by continued coverage of a news story over an extended period of time.

Best Videographer: To be awarded to a videographer who has done outstanding work in capturing footage and action. He or she should have produced extraordinary content that may have required both skill and courage.
