earthTV and Mediascope join forces to develop India presence; first earthTV camera to launch in Udaipur

Earth Television Network (earthTV) and Mediascope have come together to develop earthTV’s business within India. Together, a network of earthTV’s cameras across India will be developed, and this network will generate daily live programming from earthTV’s global broadcasters.

On acquiring this new responsibility, Marzban Patel, CMD, Mediascope Publicitas, said, “We are truly delighted to win this contract in representing earthTV in India. earthTV is a unique and innovative programme that is aired on a consistently expanding list of leading news channels across the world. India will now enjoy the benefit of its massive reach.”

Headquartered in Mumbai, and with offices nationwide, Mediascope is India’s leading international media representative company and manages a portfolio of some of the world’s leading media titles.

Thomas Hohenacker, President, earthTV, said, “We had been considering our India strategy for some time now and the partnership with Mediascope really is an ideal fit. The tie-up gives us the opportunity to partner with the market leader to develop earthTV’s presence across India, to develop a network of cameras across India, and to broadcast the best of India to the rest of the world, live, everyday.”

Coinciding with this announcement, earthTV has set up its first camera in India, located at Udaipur. In India, earthTV’s programming is broadcast live each day on NDTV.
