DishTV has reported a 23 per cent drop in its Q3 net to Rs 1,181 million as compared to the second quarter of FY09. The DTH company’s Q3 gross sales and operating revenues stood at Rs 1,927 million as compared to Rs 1,121 million in the corresponding quarter of FY08, representing a 72 per cent growth.
DishTV added 7.89 lakh subscribers in the third quarter as compared to 5.29 new subscribers added during Q2, registering an increase of 49 per cent.
DTH revenues, comprising DTH services, bandwidth charges, value added services, etc., earned the company Rs 1,876 million in the third quarter, while teleport services and trading contributed Rs 36 million and Rs 16 millio, respectively.
DishTV added 12 new channels on its platform in Q3 FY09, which include general entertainment, regional and news segments.
