DishTV offers connection for Rs 3,990, including one year's subscription fee

DishTV, leading direct-to-home (DTH) service, has launched a new scheme wherein the customers can get a connection for Rs 3,990. This scheme enables customers in a dual way. It reduces hardware price and subscription fees for a year incorporated in the cost.

The DishTV's 'Har Chhat Par'offer aims at making DTH entertainment affordable to everybody. The extremely competitive price point offered is expected to increase the penetration of DishTV in homes across the country. It is expected to do well even in areas where cable accessibility has been a problem. The offer is available at all Dishtv-authorised outlets across the country.

Announcing the initiative, Sunil Khanna, CEO, DishTV, said, "The scheme has been introduced basis the feedback from viewers - not only have we significantly dropped the prices, we have also incorporated the subscription fees in the amount. So now with the affordable cost of Rs 3,990, families across the country can enjoy hassle free entertainment for a whole year."

Under the DishTV 3,990 scheme, a customer gets the hardware - the dish and the set-top box - installed without any additional charge at his home. The offer has been designed to include a year's subscription fee for the Dish Welcome package. The package includes a total of 77 channels, which include movies, music, news, sports as well as religious programmes. Popular channels like Zee Cinema, ESPN, Star Sports, CNN, Cartoon Network etc are part of the offering.

DTH is a relatively new way of watching television in India, although it is a preferred method throughout the world. Until recently, the only way for the signal to be carried to your home was through a cable. But once you've installed your own dish, the satellite beams signals straight into your home, ensuring uninterrupted service. DishTV gives you completely hassle free viewing.

DishTV is an Essel Group venture. The group has metamorphosised into a conglomerate embracing new technology and versatile forms of entertainment. It has a vast range of national and global business interests that include media programming, broadcasting and distribution, packaging, entertainment, online gaming and telecom.
