Discovery Travel and Living channel, which has proved to be a refreshing getaway from the mundane, plans to lure viewers by adopting new programming in the current year.
The lifestyle channel, which primarily focuses on travel destinations and exotic cuisines, while continuing to concentrate on these subjects, will cater to certain new genres as well, said Aditya Tripathi, Director, Marketing, Discovery Communications India Tripathi. World poker tour, fashion programmes and relationship-based programmes are high on the channel's agenda.
Tripathi however added, "We are a brand new channel and are still in the process of evolving new programming initiatives." The channel, which has become quite popular in a short span of time, has adopted a strategy to offer something new and exciting to viewers every quarter. "A new series on Indian food in the latter part of the year is being worked out," Tripathi disclosed.
Tripathi also informed that the channel is working on a new campaign on the lines of its current "Get a Life" campaign.
