Discovery Channel is out to celebrate Republic Day with ‘India Revealed’. The show is part of a seven-episode series called ‘Discovery Atlas’, which is premiering on January 26, 2008 at 9 pm. The series would focus on seven different countries.
Discovery Channel is all set to premiere a new programme Discovery Atlas on January 26 Saturday at 9 pm with the episode ‘India Revealed’. The two hour programme will be highlighted in series showing seven different countries. Initially it will be a seven episode programme.

In a two-hour long episode 'India Revealed' will showcase India as one of the world's rising superpowers, with history and culture stretching back into the millennium, and also capture all the shifts and changes of today. The episode will have well-known film director Mira Nair as the narrator.
‘Discovery Atlas’ is all about the visual record of the history, civilisation, geography, industry, technology and people around the world. Other episodes of the series include ‘Australia Revealed’, which would be narrated by Oscar-winning actor Russel Crowe, ‘China Revealed’, which will be narrated by Emmy award winner James Spader, Oscar nominee Edward James Olmos is the narrator for ‘Mexico Revealed’, Italian actress and filmmaker Isabella Rossellini is the narrator for ‘Italy Revealed’, Emmy award-winning American actor Andre Braugher is the narrator for ‘South Africa Revealed’, and Golden Globe and Emmy award winner Sela Ward is the narrator for ‘Brazil Revealed’.
Shourie added, “Discovery will present unique nations seen through the lives of their extraordinary people in the premiere series. The other episodes on Russia, France, Japan and Egypt are currently under production and will air later in the year.”
