Discovery Tamil is embarking on a fresh new journey from October 1, 2013 to strengthen its relationship with its Tamil audience. The viewers will be presented a new look, which will also includes a new logo.
Since its launch in 2011, Discovery Tamil has aired programmes across a variety of genres – survival, engineering, wildlife, natural history, investigation, technology and India. The channel will launch a programming line-up that includes 20 new programmes and six new seasons of popular shows.
Announcing the changes, Rahul Johri, Senior Vice President and General Manager – South Asia and Head of Revenue, Pan-Regional Ad Sales and Southeast Asia, Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific said, “With highest quality and varied programming selected as per local preferences, Discovery Tamil has become one of the most viewed channels of Tamil Nadu. We are sure that with the refreshed new look and our commitment to get more regional, our relationship with the viewers will be further enhanced.”
Upsizing the overall entertainment quotient, Discovery Tamil will launch multiple series, including ‘Car Vs Wild’, ‘Africa’, ‘Generation Earth’, ‘Unexplained Files’, ‘Jungle Gold’, ‘Gold Rush’ and ‘World’s Top 5’, among others.
