Discovery ranked as No. 1 international channel as per TAM’s viewership data for last 13 weeks

Discovery channel has recorded the highest viewership amongst all international channels according to the TAM viewership data for the last 13 weeks. The channel has taken a lead over channels like STAR Movies, HBO, MTV, National Geographic, CNBC TV18 and NDTV 24x7, and has garnered a 12 per cent channel share (CS15+ AB, All India, Week 27-39, 7.00 am to 11.59 pm).

Even taking all viewers (CS 4+) in count, Discovery Channel has registered the highest viewership. (Source TAM: CS 4+, All India, Week 27-39, 7.00 am to 11.59 pm).

The Woman’s Hour Band has worked very well for the channel, which has experienced 75 per cent growth in viewership (Source TAM: CS 15+ AB, All India, Week 13-39, 12.00 pm to 1.00 pm, all days). Targeted at the women audience, this one-hour week-day slot presents programmes on a variety of subjects – from celebrating woman achievers to mother-child relationships to health and fitness.

‘Dragons: A fantasy made real’ worked exceptionally well for the channel. The show has recorded the highest viewership among all international channels, garnering 39 per cent channel share. (Source TAM: Week 32, Sunday, 8:00 pm to 10.00, CS15+, All India).
