DEN Networks forms JV with Jasper Infotech to launch TV channel

Multi-system operator (MSO) DEN Networks has entered into a 50:50 joint venture with Jasper Infotech to launch a television channel. The shopping-based channel will offer branded and unbranded merchandise as well as services, including vouchers offered by third party sellers.

Jasper Infotech owns and operates e-commerce website Snapdeal.com, which offers a wide range of product categories, including technology products such as mobiles, tablets, laptops; electronic equipment and appliances; men’s, women’s and kids’ apparel; accessories; kitchen and home furnishing; sports and fitness; beauty and skin care; toys, stationary and much more.

Jasper Infotech also operates Launchpad, which allows Indian innovators and inventors to list, market, and sell their products on the site.

Meanwhile, DEN Networks is gearing up to launch its internet broadband services in cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Pune, Lucknow and Ahmedabad. The service will be expanded to other towns and cities in subsequent stages.
