DD to help women ‘Choo Lo Asman’ in new reality show from today

Doordarshan is launching a new talent based realty show, ‘Fair & Lovely Choo Lo Asman’, produced by Endemol, from March 25. The 26-part primetime show will be aired on Wednesdays at 10 pm. Each episode will be of one hour duration. The realty show, in which Doordarshan is a co-producer, will feature 24 young women vying with each other for top honours. These women were selected through pan India auditions held at Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Dehradun, and Bhopal. Veteran television actors and presenters Neena Gupta and Farooque Sheikh are the two judges on the show.

‘Choo Lo Asman’ has a unique concept of realising the unfulfilled dreams and ambitions of the winner. The two dozen women participants pursuing different vocations will be asked to perform on the basis of various challenges that they are given. As per the show format, they will be divided into different groups for displaying their talent. Interestingly, one of the show participants has an ambition to run a dhaba.

The talent show is quite challenging as about half of the participants would be eliminated during the initial 3-4 episodes and as the competition progresses, 12 women participants will compete for the top place. The show producers will help the lucky winner fulfill her life’s ambition.
