Hindi GECs, one of the most vibrant genres among television-viewing audiences witnessed a new turn of things in Week 27. With a new launches on both Star Plus and Sony in the 8:30 PM slot coupled with DID 5's meteoric rise the week has been quite interesting.
Although ZEE TV continued to remain at no.3 but it gained maximum GRPs in Week 27 over Week 26 that is 18 GRPs. ZEE TV in past 4 Weeks of TAM reported data crossed the 170 GRPs barrier in Week 27 & this growth has been an organic one that is achieved without any WTP (World Television Premiere).
A major chunk of these 18 GRPs coming from ZEE TV's foremost dancing competition, Amul Dance India Dance Season 5 ,which saw a growth of 10 GRPs over last week.
Also in Week 27, both Star Plus & Sony catered television audiences with new launches - PHIR BHI NA MAANE BADTAMEEZ DIL on Star Plus & SURYA PUTRA KARNA on Sony.
With PHIR BHI NA MAANE BADTAMEEZ DIL garnering more Reach in its opening episode than Sony's SURYA PUTRA KARNA. But it was SURYA PUTRA KARNA which was able to beat Star Plus's new launch in terms of Time Spent(on the opening episode).
