Colors, Zee Anmol retain top spots in urban, rural markets respectively

According to BARC data for week 43 (22-28 October, 2016) Colors continued to the lead the urban markets followed by Star Plus at no.2. Sony SAB took a leap from no.5 to no.3 whereas, Zee TV slipped two spots to no.5.  As far as the rural ratings are concerned, Zee Anmol held on to the top spot. Sony Pal replaced Star Utsav to acquire the second spot while the latter slipped a spot to no.3. Also, Big Magic slipped spot to no.9.

Urban Ratings:

Colors remained to be the most watched channel in week 43 although the channel saw a fall in the ratings from 495 million in week 42 to 454 million.

Star Plus stayed at no.2 with 440 million ratings, less than previous week’s 466 million.

Sony SAB took a leap from no.5 to no.3 with 287 million ratings, higher than previous week’s 279 million ratings.

Sony Entertainment Television remained at no.4 with 272 million ratings, less than previous week’s 281 million.

Zee TV slipped two spots to acquire the fifth spot with 269 million ratings. The channel was at no.3 in week 42 with 284 million ratings.

At no.6 stood Life OK with 227 million ratings, less than previous week’s 264 million ratings.

&TV stood at no.7, like the previous week, with 130 million ratings. The channel had 139 million ratings in week 42.

The eighth spot was acquired by Zee Anmol with 113 million ratings, less than previous week’s 116 million.

Sony Pal held on to the ninth spot with 109 million ratings that were 104 million in the previous week.

And, at no.10 stood Rishtey with 90 million ratings.

 

 

 

Rural Ratings:

 

Zee Anmol continued to lead the rura market in week 43 with 387 million ratings. However, the channel saw a dip in the ratings from previous week’s 390 million.

Sony Pal replaced Star Utsav to acquire the second spot with 322 million ratings. The channel was at no.3 with 312 million ratings in the previous week.

Star Utsav slipped a spot to no.3 with 306 million ratings. The channel was at no.2 with 315 million ratings in the previous week.

Rishtey remained at no.4 in week 43 with 295 million ratings, higher than previous week’s 286 million.

Colors stood at no.5 with 236 million ratings, less than previous week’s 228 million.

Star Plus with 220 million ratings stood at no.6. The channel had 234 million ratings in week 42.

Zee TV fetched 206 million ratings and stood at no.7. The channel had 219 million ratings in the previous week.

At no.8 stood Life OK with 139 million ratings. The channel took a step up from no.9 in week 42 but had better ratings of 141 million ratings then.

Big Magic slipped spot to no.9 in week 43 with 129 million ratings. The channel had 146 million ratings in the previous week.

And, at no.10 stood Sony SAB with 125 million ratings.
