Colors, Zee Anmol lead the pack in urban, rural markets respectively in week 42

According to BARC data for week 41 (15-21 October, 2016) Colors replaced Star Plus to become the most watched channel in the urban markets. Star Plus slipped to the second spot while Zee TV took a leap to the third spot from fifth. Sony Entertainment Television slipped a spot to no.4. Also, Life OK witnessed a fall in the ratings as well as rankings. In the rural market, Zee Anmol maintained its lead followed by Star Utsav at no.2 and Sony Pal at no.3. Colors stepped up a spot to no.5 pushing Star Plus to no.6.

Urban Ratings:

Colors replaced Star Plus to acquire the top spot in the urban markets with 495 million ratings, higher than previous week’s 451 million.

Star Plus slipped to the second spot with 466 million ratings that were 469 million in week 41.

Zee TV took a leap to the third spot from fifth with 285 million ratings, higher than previous week’s 264 million.

Sony Entertainment Television slipped a spot to no.4 with 281 million ratings. The channel was at no.3 in week 41 with 292 million ratings.

Sony SAB stood at no.5 with 279 million ratings. The channel was at no.6 in the previous week with 256 million ratings.

The sixth spot was acquired by Life OK with 264 million ratings. The channel slipped two spots as it was at no.4 in the previous week with 265 million ratings.

At no.7 stood &TV with 139 million ratings, higher than previous week’s 138 million.

The eighth spot was acquired by Zee Anmol with 116 million ratings.

Sony Pal and Star Utsav stood at no.9 and no.10 respectively with 104 million and 91 million ratings respectively.

 

Rural Ratings:

 

Zee Anmol remained to be the most watched channel in the rural markets with 390 million ratings, less than previous week’s 404 million ratings.

Star Utsav with 315 million replaced Sony Pal to acquire the second spot. The channel was at no.3 in week 41 with 309 million ratings.

Sony Pal slipped a spot to no.3 with 312 million ratings. The channel was at no.2 with 329 million ratings.

Rishtey remained at no.4 with 286 million ratings, less than previous week’s 302 million ratings.

Colors stepped up a spot to no.5 in week 42 with 236 million ratings, higher than previous week’s 232 million.

Star Plus slipped a spot to no.6 with 234 million ratings, less than previous week’s 237 million ratings.

Zee TV stood at no.7 with 219 million ratings, higher than previous week’s 208 million ratings.

Big Magic with 146 million ratings stood at no.8, the channel had 156 million ratings in week 41.

Life OK and Sony Entertainment Television stood at no.9 and no.10 respectively with 141 million and 119 million ratings.
