In week 19 (7-13 May, 2016), BARC released separate urban and rural results of Hindi general entertainment channels as well as individual programs. As far as the urban viewership is concerned, Colors acquired the top spot followed by Star Plus at No.2 and Zee TV at No.3. Life OK acquired the fourth spot and Sony SAB stood at No.5
In the Rural areas, Zee Anmol stood at No.1 followed by Sony Pal at No.2 and Star Utsav at No.3. Zee TV which stood at No.3 in the urban areas stood at No.4. Rishtey stood at No.5
Colors continued to be the most watched Hindi GEC in week 19 according to the urban ratings. The channel fetched 431 million impressions.
Star Plus remained at No.2 with 413 million impressions.
Zee TV with 311 million impressions stood at No.3 followed by Life OK with 287 million ratings at No.4.
At No.5 stood Sony SAB with 241 million ratings. The channel was at No. 9 in week 18.
The sixth spot was acquired by Sony Entertainment Television which garnered 207 million ratings. The channel was at No.10 in week 18.
&TV acquired the seventh spot with 119 million ratings followed by Sony Pal at No.8.
The bottom two spots in the top 10 list were acquired by Zee Anmol and Star Utsav respectively where the former garnered 101 million ratings whereas, the latter fetched 95 million impressions.
As far as the Rural Ratings are concerned, Zee Anmol which stood at No.9 according to the urban ratings, acquired the top spot with 397 million ratings.
Sony Pal stood at No.2 with 386 million ratings. The channel stands at No.8 according to the urban viewership.
Star Utsav stood at No.3 with 355 million ratings followed by Zee TV at No.4.
Rishtey, at No.5, fetched 282 million ratings.
Colors, the most watched Hindi GEC in the urban sectors stood at No.6 in the rural sector.
Star Plus with 202 million ratings stood at No.7. The channel is at No.2 according to the urban viewership.
At No.8 stood Life OK with 170 million impressions.
Big Magic stood at No.9 with 139 million ratings followed by Sony SAB at No.10 with 109 million ratings.
