Colors chooses World Media Connect for ad sales in the US

Colors, the Hindi GEC which as recently launched in the US, has appointed World Media Connect (WMC) for managing its advertising sales business. World Media Connect is owned and managed by Dheeraj Kapuria, former head of Zee’s international business and Zee Turner Distribution Joint Venture India.

Speaking about this association, Gaurav Gandhi, Head - International Business & Chief Commercial Officer, Viacom18, said, “'After a successful launch of the channel, we are now focusing on building a strong advertising sales revenue stream for our US business. I am confident that Dheeraj and the WMC team, with their extensive knowledge and experience in the US television market, will be infinitely valuable to us in achieving our business goals.”

Adding to it, Dheeraj Kapuria, Founder and CEO, WMC, said, “'I am delighted with the faith Colors has displayed in me and my team. The channel is gaining popularity in the US day by day. I believe this association is going to bring in great results both for the channel and for World Media Connect.”

Colors launched in the US as ‘Aapka Colors’ and as ‘Colors’ in the UK earlier this year. The channel has appointed Targeted Marketing Solutions (TMS) to handle its airtime sales in the UK.
