Colors’ World Television Premiere of Bajirao Mastani takes slot up by 80%

In week 17 (23-29 April, 2016) of BARC Ratings, The telecast of the match between Manchester City F.C. vs Real Madrid C.F. of UEFA Champions League 2015-16 benefitted Ten 2 a great deal and increased its ratings by 19 times.  World Television Premier of ‘Bajirao Mastani’ fuelled the ratings of Colors. Whereas, the first episode of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ took the ratings of Sony up.

The first episode of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ on &TV took the evening slot up. The telecast of Indian Boxing Council Fight Card IBC-2 on DD National resulted in the hike in ratings of the slot.

UEFA Champions League 2015/16 Live -Manchester City F.C. vs Real Madrid C.F. - SF Leg 1 took the Tuesday, 23:59 – 02:00 and Wednesday, 02:00 – 02:09 slot up of Ten 2 by 19 times.

The World Television Premier of ‘Bajirao Mastani’ which was pitted against Kapil Sharma’s show on Sony took Saturday, 21:00 - 24:25 slot up by 80 per cent. Ratings of the slot rose to 7,010 in week 17, previous 13 weeks average of which were 3,900.

First episode of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ on Sony took Saturday, 20:58 - 22:41 slot up by 5 times. Previous 13 weeks average of the slot was 1,756 which rose to 9,230 in week 17.

The telecast of Indian Boxing Council Fight Card IBC-2 Live on DD National took Saturday, 17:00 – 22:01 slot up by 30 times. The ratings saw a spike from 3 in week 16 to 89 in week 17.

Fifth Phase of voting took the viewership up of Bangla News Channel on Monday by 2.3 times. The channel saw a hike from 11,605 in week 16 to 27,035 in week 17.

Match No.24 played between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders in the third week of VIVO IPL 2016 live match on Thursday garnered the highest impression of the week of 21375. The second highest impression of the week, 19887, was fetched by the match between Rising Pune Supergiants vs Gujarat Lions followed by Match No.21 played between Kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians on Monday which fetched 19227 impressions.

Among the Hindi GECs, Star Plus aired Bajrangi Bhaijaan on Sunday, which delivered viewership for the channel and hence the channel bounced back to the No.1 spot after being on the second spot in week 16. Colors’ viewership increased on Saturday due to the World Television Premier of ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and it stood at No.2. Sony Pal saw growth on the back of episodes of CID and hence acquired the third spot, a spot higher than week 16.
