CNN-IBN is gearing up for the launch of its new talk show ‘Dimensions’, which will uncover little known facts and the lives of international personalities like Donald Trump, Michael Douglas, Steffi Graf, Andre Agassi, Hugh Hefner, Pierce Brosnan and Cindy Crawford, to name a few.
The 10-part series will have Padma Shree, United Nations Messenger of Peace and former tennis star Vijay Amritraj as the host.
Speaking to exchange4media about the new show, Dilip Venkatraman, CEO, CNN-IBN, said that apart from the international personalities, the series might also feature a few Indians who “qualify to be global Indians”.
He further said, “The show will have a holistic 360 degree promotion. ‘Dimensions’ will be heavily promoted across mediums such as television, print, digital and outdoor. The USP of the show is its innovative concept. The show brings global content for the Indian audience. None of the Indian talk shows have featured so many big stars of the global platform on a single stage.”
On the audience connect, Venkataraman remarked that with India on the rise in the global scenario, brands and companies were looking to capture the Indian audience. “Being on the global stage, the Indian audience resonates well with these international stars and craves to know more about them. ‘Dimensions’ aims to uncover the facts and lives of these eminent personalities and bring them to the Indian audience,” he added.
On opting for Amritraj as the host, he said that Amritraj truly qualified to be a global Indian as he was the first Indian to cross over to the global arena and was one of the most recognised faces outside India. “He is impressively articulate and is a celebrity himself,” Venkataraman said.
The date of launch and the time slot for ‘Dimensions’ is yet to be revealed.
