Targeting the technology-savvy herd of Indian viewers, CNN is launching a new 30-minute monthly technology programme, called 'Spark' from July 25. Spokesperson of the channel says the programme would offer an in-depth look at how technology and innovation are changing the way people live and do business.
Elaborating further, the spokesperson says 'Spark' would be presented by CNN's Hong Kong-based anchor Kristie Lu Stout, who is also a co-anchor of the daily breakfast show CNN Today. Stout was previously CNN technology correspondent and hosted the daily 'Tech Watch' segment. "First episode of 'Spark' features Peter Gabriel talking about recent revolutions in the music industry," she adds.
Besides this, there will be other additions like CNN correspondent Paula Hancocks traveling to Spain to see how fashion retailer Zara can react immediately to address the changing tastes of the buyer by using information technology. Similarly another correspondent, Maggie Lake in California hears from two entrepreneurs who have created fabrics that enhance performance and increase comfort for athletes.
