CNBC-TV18 launches multi-focused weekends programmes

CNBC-TV18 has launched new weekend shows that aim to deliver power-packed content featuring a host of topics, from business to entertainment to luxury and current affairs. The shows will be aired only on Saturdays and Sundays.

Speaking on the multi-focused weekend programmes, Neel Chowdhury, Vice-President - Marketing, CNBC-TV18 and CNBC Awaaz, said, “CNBC-TV18 has always been a category leader in terms of programming forays and innovative content. We felt that the time was ripe to introduce the viewers to a wide variety of programming that will attract a wider and newer audience to our fold, and enrich the viewing experience of our loyal viewers. Hence, the introduction of comprehensive programming that caters to all genres of audiences.”

‘India Business Week’, a current affairs programme, would provide viewers with an insight on what to expect in the coming week – be it business, politics, sports or entertainment and recap the best of the previous week.

The corporate focused category includes ‘Wealth Creators’, which would feature success stories of men and women who have created enormous shareholder value and have grown their businesses to world class standards. The second show is ‘Indianomics’, which will give viewers an insight on the Indian economy and various macro-economic issues. The third show in this category is ‘Riders in the Storm’, which will feature India’s leading companies. Every episode will spotlight one CEO and his team that is gearing up for the tough times, and their plans on how to grow in these slowing times.

Lifestyle specials include ‘Must Do’, which will be the ultimate guide on which books to read, which movies or plays to watch, art exhibitions, DVD reviews, best places to eat, etc. Another show is ‘Beautiful’, which would get up close and personal with the rich and famous from the entertainment industry.
