CNBC kicks off new weekend show

CNBC TV18’s new show ‘Get Up, Close and Personal’ will feature various successful women from India. Premiering on May 12, the show will be aired on Saturdays at 10.30 am and 10 pm, followed by a repeat telecast on Sundays at 8.30 pm.

“The channel will highlight New Age women and speak about their achievements which have aroused interest around the world. The show will bring interesting journeys and industrious moments of the lives of women who are not just strong pillars behind successful business tycoons, but also strong public personalities,” said an official from TV18.

Sheeren Bhen, Associate Editor and leading anchor with CNBC-TV18 will host the show and present facts from the lives of these women. The first guest of honour on the show will be Maureen Wadia, Managing Editor and President, ‘Gladrags Magazine’. Wadia believes that the Mrs India contest that she nurtured for the last six years is a celebration of womanhood and marriage.

Some of the other personalities slated to be featured on the show are Anuradha Mahindra, Publisher, ‘Verve’ and ‘Man’s World’; Sudha Murthy, Founder Trustee, Infosys Foundation, who is incidentally also Narayan Murthy’s wife; Rohini Nilekani, Chairperson, Akshara Foundation; and Nita Ambani, President, Dhirubhai Ambani Foundation, among others.
