Channel7 appoints Madison Communications for all its media solutions

After assigning its creative duties to Brand David, Channel7, the Hindi news channel from TV18 Group and Jagran TV, has appointed Madison Communications as its media partner. The agency will develop differentiated media plans for Channel7, customised for national and local marketing needs.

While Madison will handle media planning, MOMS Media Outdoor Solutions, Madison’s outdoor specialist agency, will handle all outdoor media solutions.

Sharing his views on the appointment, Dilip Venkatraman, Director Marketing, TV18 Group, said, “Media proliferation has become a trend and it is crucial to tap all media channels to grab consumer attention. Madison, with its all round capabilities, was the preferred choice as a media partner. We are delighted to have Madison on board, and look forward to a long-term mutually beneficial association. There are various challenges and opportunities in terms of media buying and we are convinced that Madison can leverage the same.”

Reacting to the account win, Sam Balsara, Chairman and Managing Director, Madison Communications, said, “We are delighted that Channel7 has appointed Madison Communications as its media partner. Our relationship with the Jagran Group goes long back, and now as Channel7 moves on to become a part of the TV18 Group, our association with the channel will continue. With our strong infrastructure tools and software, we are confident that we will be able to deliver business results for the channel.”

”The news channel genre is extremely competitive and cluttered. However, Channel7 has a clear focus and aims to be the leader in Hindi news journalism. The road ahead will be challenging, which makes it more exciting. We are looking forward to partnering with Channel7 and are confident of accomplishing the task ahead,” said Basab Dutta, COO, Madison Media Plus.
