Cable operators form body

Cable television operators associations from all parts of South India have got together to launch an umbrella organisation called the South Indian Federation of Cable TV Operators Association (SIFCOA).

The association, which has members from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Pondicherry and Kerala, said its first meeting would be held in Chennai in February.

The association demanded that fair and meaningful representation of cable TV operators should be there in bodies such as the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.
