Bihar & Jharkhand GECs make rating gains in week 9

In week 9 (February 22 – 28, 2015), the Bihar & Jharkhand market was the only regional market which saw a rise in ratings during the week.

According to data sourced from TAM subscribers CS4+ market, in the Bihar & Jharkhand market Big Magic Ganga increased to 2365 GVTs this week from 2238 GVTs in the previous week. Mahuaa Plus saw its ratings increase to 1122 GVTs in week 9 from 980 GVTs in week 8. Anjan increased to 666 GVTs in week 9 from 635 GVTs in week 8. Mahuaa too saw its ratings rise to 646 GVTs this week from 426 GVTs last week. Oscar Movies Bhojpuri ratings stood at 258 GVTs this week.

In the Bengali GEC market, Star Jalsha declined to 100,948 GVTs in week 9 from 101,314 GVTs in week 8. Zee Bangla too declined to 81,658 GVTs this week from 83,519 GVTs in the previous week. ETV Bangla saw its ratings marginally rise to 24,930 GVTs in week 9 from 24,190 GVTs in week 8. Aakaash Aath saw its ratings rise this week to 14,180 GVTs from 13,650 GVTs last week. Rupashi Bangla’s ratings on the other hand declined to 1722 GVTs this week from 1888 GVTs in week 8.

In the Tamil Nadu market, Sun TV declined marginally to 216,150 GVTs this week from 219,901 GVTs in week 8. Vijay saw its ratings drop to 90,069 GVTs in week 9 from 110,276 GVTs in week 8. Zee Tamil’s ratings declined in week 9 to 21,000 GVTs from 22,351 GVTs in week 8. Raj TV’s ratings on the other hand saw an increase during this week to 18,909 GVTs from 17,707 GVTs in week 8. Kalaignar TV increased this week to 17,989 GVTs from 16,957 GVTs in week 8. Jaya TV declined to 11,931 GVTs in week 9 from 13,224 GVTs in week 8. Mega TV declined to 4964 GVTs in week 9 from 5673 GVTs in week 8. Captain TV declined to 4413 GVTs in week 9 from 5091 GVTs in week 8.

In the Maharashtra market, Zee Marathi saw its ratings rise to 152,047 GVTs this week from 146,467 GVTs in week 8. Star Pravah’s ratings declined in week 9 to 51,124 GVTs from 54,060 GVTs in week 8. ETV Marathi too saw a decline in ratings this week to 49,906 GVTs from 54,562 GVTs in week 8. Mi Marathi declined to 10,785 GVTs in week 9 from 12,519 GVTs in week 8.


Udaya in the Karnataka market increased marginally during week 9 to 68,402 GVTs from 67,110 GVTs in week 8. ETV Kannada declined to 53,460 GVTs in week 9 from 57,103 GVTs in week 8. Suvarna on the other hand increased to 47,679 GVTs this week from 44,240 GVTs last week. Zee Kannada declined to 33,064 GVTs in week 9 from 35,737 GVTs in week 8. Kasturi saw its ratings fall to 6828 GVTs from 7341 GVTs last week.


Among the Andhra Pradesh market Gemini saw its ratings dip a little during the week to 108,013 GVTs from 117,500 GVTs last week. Maa decreased to 95,444 GVTs in week 9 from 98,705 GVTs in week 8. ETV too decreased to 82,710 GVTs in week 9 from 85,742 GVTs in week 8. Zee Telugu declined to 79,694 GVTs from 84,671 GVTs last week. Vissa increased to 324 GVTs this week from 212 GVTs last week.

In the Kerala market, Asianet decreased marginally to 52,390 GVTs in week 9 from 52,644 GVTs in week 8. Surya declined to 13,104 GVTs this week from 15,063 GVTs last week. Asianet Plus declined to 5170 GVTs in week 9 from 6029 GVTs in week 8. Kairali increased its ratings this week to 5003 GVTs from 4407 GVTs last week. Amrita decreased marginally to 2506 GVTs this week from 2775 GVTs during last week.
