BARC ratings: Zee Anmol rises to No. 2 spot; DD National gains maximum ratings to rise to No.5

In week 42 (October 17 – 23, 2015) of the BARC ratings for the Hindi GEC genre, Zee Anmol rose to No.2 spot with a large rise in ratings. DD National rose to take No.5 spot on the back of large hikein its ratings this week. Leader, Star Plus saw a decline in its ratings. This was the same for Colors as its ratings declined. Apart from Zee TV and Life OK, most of the other channels in the top 10 list saw a decline in ratings this week.

According to BARC data HSM NCCS All India (U+R), Star Plus at No.1 spot saw its ratings decline to 734 million in week 42 from 804 million in week 41.

Zee Anmol rose to take No.2 spot with a large rise in ratings, clocking in 651 million this week from 609 million in week 41.

Colors slipped to No.3 spot in week 42 with a decline of ratings to 650 million from 708 million in week 41.

Zee TV at No.4 saw a marginal rise in its ratings to 595 million from 588 million in week 41.

DD National rose to No.5 spot from No.7 last week, with a large rise in its ratings to 522 million this week from 381 million last week.

Life OK rose to No. 6 spot with a rise in ratings to 495 million in week 42, from 459 million last week.

Star Utsav slipped to No. 7 position as its ratings dipped to 473 million this week from 500 million last week.

Sony TV stayed put at No.8 spot despite a decline in its ratings of 348 million from 371 million last week.

Sab TV declined as well with this week’s ratings dropping to 327 million from 380 million in week 41.

Rishtey at No.10 saw a marginal decline in ratings to 268 million in week 42 from 270 million in week 41.
