BARC Ratings: &TV: "Zee Cine Awards" on Sunday takes the slot up by 31%

In week 10 (5- 11 March, 2016) of BARC data, Micromax Asia Cup T20 Live- Bangladesh vs India-Final took the viewership up, also, the telecast of Mahashivratri special shows fuelled the hike in ratings of the slots of regional channels like Zee Marathi and Color Marathi.

On the back of Micromax Asia Cup T20 2016 India vs Bangladesh Final match, Star Sports 1 saw a hike in the ratings from 3,389 in week 9 to 18, 554 in week 10. Similarly, Star Sports 3 also saw a rise in the ratings of the slot from 3,943 in week 9 to 20,717 in week 10. DD National saw a hike in the ratings from 860 in week 9 to 22,559 in week 10.

The telecast of Zee Cine Awards 2016 on &TV took the 19:30-23:15 slot up by 31 per cent. The channel had 918 ratings in week 9 which rose to 1,204 in week 10.

Opening match of ‘Frooti Box Cricket League’ on Rishtey on Saturday took the slot up by 50 per cent. The 22:00-23:15 slot saw a rise from 560 (previous four weeks average) to 839 in week 10.

Zee Marathi’s Maha Shivaratri special show ‘Yelkot Yelkot Jai Malhar took the Sunday: 18:59 – 22:29 slot up by 24 per cent. The previous week’s average of the show was 1,509 which rose to 1,877 in week 10.

Colors Marathi’s Maha Shivaratri special episode of ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya’ took the Monday: 20:29 – 20:59 slot up by 42 per cent. The slot rose to 2,130 in week 10 which were 1,495 in the past 13 weeks’ average.

Among the Hindi GECs, Star Plus acquired the no.1 spot, Colors followed at No.2 and Zee TV stood at No.3. Star Plus saw an increase in prime time on Tue and Thurs led by both Reach and ATS; consistent marginal increase across dayparts/days.

Life OK saw a gain on account of the new show ‘May I come in Madam’ and prime time shows on Thursday led by Savdhaan India.

Zee TV saw an increase on Saturday on account of the Finale of India’s Best Dramebaaz. DD National has seen a drop in viewership on account of live India cricket in week 9
