BARC Ratings:Star Plus, Star Utsav continue to ace urban and rural HSM respectively
In week 22 (28 May-3 June, 2016), Star Plus continued to rule the urban HSM third week in a row followed by Colors at No.2 and Zee TV at No.3. All the top 10 channels experienced a hike in the ratings in the urban markets. In the rural HSM, Star Utsav remained to be the most watched channel followed by Sony Pal at No.2 and Zee Anmol at No.3. Rishtey replaced Zee TV to acquire the fourth spot. Star Plus stepped up to the fifth spot whereas, Zee TV slipped down two steps to the sixth spot.

Hindi GEC Urban:
Star Plus remained to be the most watched Hindi GEC in week 22, third week in a row. The channel had 429 million ratings in week 21 which rose to 465 million ratings in week 22.
Colors stayed at No.2 with increased viewership ratings of 456 million which were 428 million in week 21.
Zee TV also experienced a hike in the ratings in week 22 with 294 million ratings which were 291 million ratings in week 21.
Life OK fetched 291 million ratings in week 22 and stayed at No.4, like the previous week. The channel has witnessed a rise in the ratings from 270 million in week 21.
Sony SAB, at No.5, fetched 256 million ratings as compared to previous week’s 240 million.
Sony Entertainment Television stood at No.6 with 240 million ratings. The channel had 233 million ratings in week 21.
Sony Pal remained at No.7 with 128 million ratings which were 121 million in the previous week.
At No.8 stood &TV with 119 million ratings which were 109 million ratings in week 21.
Star Utsav fetched 114 million ratings in week 22 which were 108 million the week before and remained at No.9.
Zee Anmol stood at No.10 with 99 million ratings which were 91 million in week 21.
Hindi GEC Rural:
Star Utsav continued to be the top channel in the rural markets second week in a row with increased viewership ratings of 411 million which were 369 million in week 21.
Sony Pal stood at No.2 with 396 million ratings which were 344 million in week 21.
Zee Anmol also saw a rise in the ratings in week 22 to 331 million from 320 million in week 21 and stood at No.3.
Rishtey replaced Zee TV to acquire the fourth spot in week 22 with 269 million ratings. The channel saw a hike in ratings from previous week’s 228 million.
Star Plus stepped up to the fifth spot with 245 million ratings. The channel was at No.6 in week 21 with 219 million ratings.
Zee TV slipped down two steps to the sixth spot in week 22 as it saw a dip in the viewership ratings from 232 million in week 21 to 230 million in week 22.
Colors remained at No.7 with 229 million ratings which were 216 million in week 21.
Life OK climbed to the eighth spot from ninth in week 22 with 168 million ratings which were 154 million in the previous week.
Big Magic slipped to the ninth spot with 157 million ratings, similar to week 21.
Sony SAB remained at No.10 with 115 million ratings as compared to 104 million ratings in week 21.
