BARC ratings: India Today TV No.2 in English news genre; CNBC TV18 regains No.1 spot, while Times NOW stays in leadership position

In week 40 (October 3 – 9, 2015), BARC ratings for the English news genre saw India Today TV climb to No.2 spot. Times Now saw a large decline in ratings this week, but still stayed way ahead of the competition holding on to the No.1 spot. In the English Business News genre CNBC TV18 once again regained No.1 spot

According to BARC data, All India: NCCS AB Males 22+ C&S 1lakh+, Times Now’s ratings took a large dip this week as it recorded 278 (‘000s) from 343 (‘000s) last week.

India Today TV took No.2 spot displacing NDTV which was at the same spot last week. India Today TV clocked in ratings of 159 (‘000s) in week 40.

CNN IBN stayed at No.3 spot despite its ratings declining to 158 (‘000s) this week from 181 (‘000s) last week.

In the English Business News genre, CNBC TV18 once again regained No.1 spot with ratings of 296 (‘000s). It was closely followed by ET Now with ratings of 291 (‘000s) at No.2 spot. NDTV Profit and NDTV Prime came at No.3 spot with ratings of 54 (‘000s).
