BARC Ratings: IBN7 witnesses 87% hike in Sunday slot in week 11

In week 11 (12-18 March, 2016) of the BARC Ratings, IBN7 saw a massive rise in the ratings by the live telecast of Pramod Baba’s emergence from a sealed hole in the ground after 15 days. World Television premier of the movie ‘Alone’ on &TV fuelled the hike in ratings of the slot. Star Plus also saw a marginal rise in the ratings in the day parts.

Live Telecast of Pramod Baba’s emergence from a sealed hole in the ground after 15 days on IBN 7 on Sunday  took the slot up by 87 per cent.

ICC World T20 India 2016 - India v/s New Zealand match performance raised the viewership of  the Tuesday 19:20- 22:42 slot of Star Sports 1, Star Sports 3 and DD National. The ratings of Star Sports 1 increased from 3,509 in week 10 to 15,848 in week 11. Also, the ratings of Star Sports 3 increased from 487 in wek 10 to 16,728 in week 11. The ratings of the slot on DD National rose from 1,535 in week 10 to 17,578 in week 11.

As far as the Hindi GECs are concerned, Star Plus stood at no. 1, Colors is at no.2 and Zee TV is at no.3 in week 11.

Star Plus saw a marginal increase in viewership across days and dayparts and garnered 714 million ratings in week 11. The telecast of channel’s new show ‘Dehleez’ took the Monday 22:30-23:00 slot up by 37 per cent. The slot saw an increase from 1,954 (prev.13 week’s average) to 2,681 in week 11.

Colors saw a gain across days and dayparts led by the IMFFA Suron Ke Rang Colors ke Sang event and new shows such as ‘Kasam’.  ‘IMFFA Suron Ke Rang Colors Ke Sang’ took the Sunday 13:00-14:30 slot slot up by 42 percent. The slot had 1,749 (prev.13 week’s average) which rose to 3,038 in week 11.

Zee TV witnessed growth on Sunday led by Mirchi Music Awards and Zee Cine Awards. Whereas, Rishtey saw an increase in viewership on Sunday led by the double airing of Khatarnak Khiladi 2 and Tuesday non-prime increases due to three movies back to back.

The World Television Premier of the movie ‘Alone’ on &TV took the Saturday 20:00-22:36 slot up by 82 per cent.
