BARC Ratings:'Bramharakshas- Jaag Utha Shaitan' emerges as top show in week 36

According to the BARC Ratings for week 36 (3-9 September, 2016), Zee TV’s new show ‘Bramharakshas- Jaag Utha Shaitan’ pushed ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ (from the same channel) to the third spot to become the most watched show. Sony Entertainment Television’s ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ took a leap to the fifth spot while Sony SAB’s show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ slipped to the ninth spot.

Zee TV’s new show ‘Bramharakshas- Jaag Utha Shaitan’  fetched improved ratings of 6927 impressions ‘000s and replaced its other show ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ which was leading the charts for weeks now. The show has been consistently growing in terms of ratings and rank from the past three weeks as it was at no.7 in week 34 and took a leap to the third spot in the previous week with 6584 impressions ‘000s.

Star Plus’ show ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya’ stayed at no.2 for the third consecutive week. However, the witnessed a dip in the ratings from 7086 impressions’000 in week 35 to 6902 impressions ‘000s in week 36.

After the leading the urban markets for weeks, Zee TV’s show ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ slipped two spots to acquire the third spot in week 36. The show which had 7455 impressions ‘000s in week 35 garnered 6857 impressions ‘000s this time.

‘Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’ which airs on Colors remained at no.4 in week 36 with 6617 impressions ‘000s, less than previous week’s 6382 impressions ‘000s.

Sony Entertainment Television’s ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ that had slipped to the ninth spot from no.3 in week 35 climbed to the fifth spot in week 36.  The show got 6265 impressions ‘000s, higher than previous week’s 5244 impressions ‘000s.

Star Plus’ show ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ stayed at no.6 with 6011 impressions ‘000s, less than previous week’s 6176 impressions ‘000s.

Colors’ show ‘Udaan’ stood at no.7 with 6009 impressions ‘000s.

Star Plus’ ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ remained at no.8 in week 36 with improved ratings of 5773 impressions ‘000s than week 35’s 5706 impressions ‘000s.

Sony SAB’s show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ slipped to the ninth spot with 5722 impressions ‘000s. The show had 6370 impressions ‘000s in week 35.

Star Plus’ show ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ also experienced a fall in the ratings as well as ranking in week 36. The show fetched 5409 impressions ‘000s and stood at no.10 in week 36 with respect to 5859 impressions ‘000s and the seventh spot in week 35.
