BARC Ratings: Aaj Tak leads Hindi News genre followed by ABP News and Zee News

Broadcasters Audience Research Council released the much awaited television ratings for the week 16 from April 18th to 24th. The data released in the first phase of BARC is  for  : 1L+ C&S HHs – Empanelled – 12,000, Reporting - 10,760 households (1L+ C&S).

Aaj Tak leads the Hindi News genre, followed by ABP News and Zee News.

According to data sourced from BARC subscribers, Aaj Tak leads with the maximum market share of 23.5 % relative market share in the Hindi news space. The ratings for Aaj Tak are 44,000. ABP sits on the second spot with 15.8% market share and 38,000 ratings. Zee News got the third position with 13.3 % share and got 25000 ratings. News Nation is the new entry in the table with 11.9 % and got 22000 ratings. India TV sits at number five position with 10.2 market share and 19,000 ratings( gross TVTs 000s).

(Due to a Technical error there were no ratings for India TV from 18th  to 20th April).
