The telecast of ‘Jio Digital Life Filmfare Awards 2017’ on Sony Entertainment Television between 9pm and 12.53 am garnered 8.3 million impressions on Saturday (February 8). The ratings helped the channel grab the tenth spot for BARC India Week 8(February 18-24) overall Top 10 Shows list and seventh spot in the urban market’s Top 10 Shows with 5.9 million impressions.
Zee TV’s ‘Zee Rishtey Awards 2016’ on February 19 brought it 8 million impressions. In fact the channel performed better in Week 8 after suffering a major drop a few weeks ago and is now at the fourth place with 281 million impressions.
The premiere of the Ajay Devgn-starrer ‘Shivaay’ on Star Gold fetched 6.2 million impressions between 12.59pm and 4.19 pm. The channel took the fourth spot in BARC’s Top 5 Hindi Movies with 343 million impressions.
When it comes to regional channels, the launch episode of game show ‘Super Minute’ on Colors Kannada got 3.8 million impressions. The channel topped BARC’s Top 5 channels in Kannada with 375 million impressions.
Meanwhile the Prabhudheva-starrer ‘Abhinetri’ got 6.1 million impressions on Zee Telugu, which took the second spot in BARC’s Top 5 channels in Telugu with 467 million impressions.
From the looks of it, the premieres have done well for both Hindi movie and regional GECs. Also, the award shows of Hindi GECs have definitely boosted their ratings.
