Andhra Pradesh channels among top gainers in regional markets; Kerala channels see a fall in ratings

According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 46 (November 9 – 15, 2014) ratings of regional channels CS4+ showed significant developments.

In the Bihar+Jharkhand market BIG Magic Ganga led the pack with 991 GVTs in week 46, despite a fall in its ratings from the previous week(1120GVTs) It was followed by Anjan with 672 GVTs,  Mahuaa’s  with 697 GVTs  and Dabangg 152GVTs

In the All Maharashtra GEC market, Zee Marathi saw a marginal decline from 1,45,564 GVTs in week 45 to 1,43,455 GVTs in week 46. Star Pravah too saw a decline in its ratings to 50,409 GVTs this week from 52,367 GVTs last week. ETV Marathi on the other hand saw an increase in its ratings from 45,989 GVTs in week 45 to 49,458 GVTs in week 46. Mi Marathi too witnessed a ratings hike as it increased from 11,988 GVTs in week 45 to 12,608 GVTs in week 46.

The West Bengal market in week 46 witnessed Star Jalsha ahead of the pack with only a marginal dip in its ratings. The channel dipped to 115,238 GVTs in week 46 from 115,530 GVTs in week 45. Zee Bangla’s ratings on the other hand rose to 78,636 GVTs in week 46 from 77,289 GVTs in week 45. ETV Bangla similarly increased its ratings from 21,203 GVTs in week 45 to 22,960 GVTs in week 46. However, Aakaash saw a decline in its ratings to 16,072 GVTs in week 46 from 16,939 GVTs in week 45.

Week 46 in the Tamil Nadu market saw leader Sun TV gain significantly during the week. Sun TV increased its ratings to 230,133 GVTs in week 46 from 222,131 GVTs in week 45. Vijay on the other had had a marginal decline from 63,574 GVTs in week 45 to 63,558 GVTs in week 46. Polimer declined from 22,667 GVTs in week 45 to 20,822 GVTs in week 46. Raj TV increased in its ratings from 21,174 GVTs in week 45 to 23,484 GVTs in week 46. Kalaignar TV declined to 19,993 GVTs in week 46 from 21,061 GVTs in week 45. Zee Tamil too declined from last week to 17,424 GVTs in week 46 from 18,703 GVTs in week 45. Jaya TV saw a massive drop in its ratings this week as it slipped from 18,577 GVTs in week 45 to 14,300 GVTs in week 46.

In the Karnataka market, Udaya saw its ratings decline to 68,991 GVTs in week 46 from 79,461 GVTs in week 45. ETV Kannada too dropped its ratings from 55,148 GVTs in week 45 to 51,316 GVTs in week 46. Suvarna saw an increase in its ratings from 40,884 GVTs in week 45 to 41,041 GVTs in week 46. Zee Kannada dropped marginally from 31,218 GVTs in week 45 to 30,339 GVTs in week 46. Kasturi saw a big jump in its ratings as it rose to 8,712 GVTs in week 46 from 7,042 GVTs in week 45.

In the Andhra Pradesh market most of the channels saw an increase in their ratings. MAA increase its ratings from 97,017 GVTs in week 45 to 109,503 GVTs in week 46. While Gemini saw a marginal decline in its ratings to 95,293 GVTs this week from 95,717 GVTs last week. Zee Telugu increased to 90,792 GVTs in week 46 from 87,426 GVTs in week 45. ETV too increased to 88,974 GVTs in week 46 from 84,754 GVTs in week 45.

In the Kerala market all the Malayalam GECs saw a decline in their ratings. Asianet saw a huge decline to 48,912 GVTs in week 46 from 57,690 GVTs in week 45. Surya declined to 13,835 GVTs in week 46 from 16,574 GVTs in week 45. Asianet Plus declined from 5,631 GVTs last week to 4,189 GVTs this week. Kairali declined to 4,496 GVTs in week 46 from 5,060 GVTs in week 45. Amrita declined from 2,578 GVTs in week 45 from 1,755 GVTs in week 46.
