Amritha TV gears up for Onam with mega movie fare

Amritha TV, one of the leading Malayalam satellite channels, is gearing up to celebrate Onam with great fanfare. The channel, which has a market share of 6-7 per cent, has lined up special programmes for its viewers that will last for a week. This includes several blockbuster Malayalam movies like ‘Madhu Chandralekha’, ‘Vargam’, etc.

Viewers can also look forward to savour a host of exciting film-based programmes like witnessing top celluloid stars celebrating Onam, a peep into the lives of celebrities, and a special edition of Amritha TV’s mega reality music show, ‘Super Star’.

Other programmes include a review of Malayalam movie, ‘Classmates’, scheduled to release on Onam. The star cast and crew members of the movie will share their behind the screen experience in this programme.

There will also be interviews with several film stars, including Mamooty, Sathyan Anthikkad, Vikram, Poornima and Bhagyaraj, Padmapriya, Vikram, Ajith, and Shalini, among others.

These apart, the channel will also air the Gulf Malayali Music Awards function that will be held in Dubai on September 7. The entire music fraternity of Malayalam cinema is expected to take part in the event.

The channel will also air three hit Tamil movies – ‘Boys’, ‘Run’ and ‘Kushi’.
