Amrita gears up for yet another new reality show

After successful reality components such as ‘Super Star’ and ‘Super Star Junior’, Amrita TV is gearing up for yet another reality show. The new show christened ‘Vanitaratnam’ would provide a platform for the young mothers to bring to the fore their inherent talents that would otherwise go unnoticed. ‘Vanitaratnam’ is a blend of both reality and stage show and would assess the singing, dancing and acting prowess, besides communication skills of the women at home and workplace.

The auditions of this first-of-its-kind reality show were held in Kochi, Trivandrum and Calicut. An eminent panel of judges that included noted actors Rohini, Poornima Indrajit and Murali Menon selected 15 women out of the hundreds of aspirants. The show commences from April 9 and will be aired from Monday to Friday between 8 pm and 9 pm.

Like Amrita TV’s earlier music reality show ‘Super Star’, contestants of ‘Vanitaratnam’ will also undergo a professional grooming session before they go on air. The one-hour show comprises 65 episodes and is branded by AVT Tea. The winner of ‘Vanitaratnam’ would walk away with Rs 5 lakh worth gold.

The elimination of contestants will be by public voting. Since Amrita TV has a global footprint, audiences across the world would be able to participate in the contest and decide the winner.
