Amit Tripathi steps down as COO, News Express

After CEO and Managing Editor Vinod Kapri quit a few days ago, it is Amit Tripathi, COO, who has decided to move on from News Express. Tripathi is still in the organisation and serving his notice period.

Prior to News Express, Tripathi worked with Times Television Network, Zoom, Sahara TV and India News. He has also worked with Zee News as Group Sales Head and partnered with Barun Das, Former CEO, Zee News to form Cent Percent Media. 

As a COO in News Express, Tripathi was responsible for P&L of company for their national channel and upcoming regional channels in MP and Maharashtra. He was also responsible for managing team of 400+ people and motivating them for better performance. He is a media veteran of more than twenty years.
 

The group released the Little Hearts online-only campaign, #BreakSomeHearts, early this year and is on the path to make many more of its brands available on the digital platform
