Aaj Tak is organising the first edition of Agenda Aaj Tak on December 6 and 7 in New Delhi. Touted as the world’s biggest Hindi heartland summit, the underlying theme of Agenda Aaj Tak – ‘India Maange More’ – is set to compel the decision makers to ponder over some of the key issues pertaining to our nation and draw a clear road map for emerging India.
Commenting on the objective behind this conference, Ashish Bagga, Group CEO, India Today Group, said that Agenda Aaj Tak’s vision is to create a platform in people’s own language Hindi, where issues that affect the masses can be debated and discussed with the nation’s thought leaders.
He further said that Agenda Aaj Tak will see more than 40 well-known personalities from India and abroad coming together on a single platform. These include political leaders, social activists, cricketers, celebrities, authors and bureaucrats such as: Sushil Kumar Shinde, Kapil Sibbal, Kamal Nath, Manish Tewari, Sachin Pilot, Rajiv Shukla, Digvijay Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Arun Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj, Shiela Dixit, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Nitish Kumar, Anna Hazare, Arvind Kejriwal, Kiran Bedi, Baba Ramdev, Aamir Khan, Kajol, Madhuri Dixit, Randeep Hooda, Sakshi Tanwar, Sameer Soni, Kapil Dev, Saurav Ganguly, Wasim Akram, Mohammad Azharuddin, Waqar Younis, Imraan Khan – Chairman Tehrik-e-insaaf & former Cricketer, Subrata Roy Sahara, Chetan Bhagat, Anuja chauhan, Javed Akhtar, Ali Zafar and Kailash Kher.
“This is expected to be amongst the most powerful shows on TV ever. Expectations on viewership are obviously high, however, more importantly, the influence of this event along with the opinions and the stature of speakers should be able to redefine thought leadership in the news space,” Bagga added.
A robust plan has been put in place to promote the show, both on ground and on air. Agenda Aaj Tak will be supported heavily on Aaj Tak and the network channels with various television formats such as curtain raisers before the event, live cut-ins, daily half an hour shows, quotes of eminent speakers will be played through daily stories and post event weekend shows will be aired.
Bagga further said, “In addition, we are doing aggressive marketing promotions across all mediums such as print, Internet, outdoor, TV and radio as we conceive this to become a benchmark property both on air and off air. ‘Hindi Jagat ka Mahamanch’ is the promise of the campaign.”
The conclave will consist of discussions and Q&A sessions on issues as diverse as politics, youth, social media, democracy, development, Bhasha, cross-border terrorism, regionalism, economic reforms, social issues, India-Pakistan relations and popular culture.
