Even as Bangalore is gearing up for the Bangalore Marathon, popularly known as the Sunfeast World 10K run, on May 18, media partners are lining up for the event. Network18 has tied up with the run, wherein CNBC-TV18 will cover the tremendous diversity of the World 10K experience, ranging from professional participation to support of charity causes and corporate social endeavours to celebrity involvement, and from individual recreation to community building.
The World 10K race is an international annual event, and is being organised in India for the first time. The race has prize money of $150,000. The Sunfeast World 10K run is expected to attract over 15,000 enthusiastic runners, including international and national elite athletes.
CNBC-TV18 will bring the event live to millions of Indians on May 18 from 7 am onwards, along with a power packed line-up of programming built around the event. On the race day, the channel would embed reporters and anchors through the race.
