After 9 pm Sony gearing up to strengthen 8 o’clock slot, to launch 3 new shows

As reported by exchange4media on 1st July Sony TV is launching a new game show on the lines of Russian Roulette called 'Bachke Rehna'. Apart from this Sony has also lined up two more shows, the much hyped 'Shubh Vivaah' ('Kahin na Kahin Koi Hai' in new avtaar), which is finally going on air some time later this month and another Balaji Serial called 'Kya Hadsa Kya Haqueeqat'.

Sony officials are all tight lipped about these new developments. When contacted no one was ready to come on record so we did our own check with the market sources and this is what we came up with.

After getting its strategy in place in the 9-10 p.m. slot through Kkusum and Kkutumb, Sony is now planning to get aggressive in the 8-9 pm slot. The recent launch of Kammal by Zee TV during this time band not withstanding, sources tell us that all the three new programmes will be slotted during 8-9 p.m. and the days on which these programmes will be aired will also pretty much cover the entire week.

'Kahin na Kahin Koi Hai' is going to be aired on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Though the time band of the show is not clear as yet but from the presentations Sony has been making to agencies its clear that the half-hour show would be aired between 8-9 p.m.

The new soap from Balaji, mind you it's not a family drama this time, 'Kya Hadsha Kya Haqueeqat' being touted as a thriller will be aired on Friday, Saturday and Sunday during 8 - 9 p.m. The only remaining slot then remains Wednesday where 'Kya Hadsha Kya Haqueeqat' would fit in nicely.

The launch dates of the show are also being kept under wraps. Apart from Kahin na Kahin Koi Hai which is known to be going on air on 29th July the other two shows are expected to be on air around middle of August.
