ABP formally launches ABP Asmita

ABP News Network has formally launched its Gujarati News Channel ‘ABP ASMITA’ for its Gujarati viewers in India and every corner of the world. However, exchange4media broke this story earlier this year in January.

A tag line that shows strong determination of ‘Khabar Amari, Pragati Tamari’, this news channel telecasts news and news related programs 24x7. The group has started this channel on the digital platform too with a website named abpasmita.in.

On speaking about the motive behind the launch of the channel, Shazi Zaman Group editor, ABP News Network said, "We intend to telecast "ABP Asmita" for our Gujarati viewers to fulfill their requirement of quality news with equal dedication of utmost quality and neutrality with which we telecast Hindi, Bangla and Marathi channels."

Brajesh Kumar Singh, Executive Editor, ABP said, "We have built a modern studio and news room at Ahmedabad equipped with latest technology and robotic cameras to telecast our programs. We are proud enough to say that ABP Asmita is the first channel in Gujarat to make use of robotic cameras. We also have our channel bureaus in major cities of Gujarat like Gandhinagar, Rajkot, Surat, Vadodara from where we telecast live news with the help of latest live-U technology."

ABP Asmita has a bouquet of shows from early morning till midnight along with quality programs like 'Fatafat' and 'Top 20', which gives short but precise information about each and every event that occurs in India and worldwide. Besides this, a news roundup known as ‘Aapni Khabar, Aapna Reporter’ that covers the news of all events that happens even in the remote location of Gujarat is also telecasted every day at 7 pm.

Further, a debate program on current affairs known as ‘Mahacharcha’ is aired on this channel daily at 8pm. With our program ‘Mahanagar’ scheduled at 9:00 pm every day, viewers are kept aware about the news and events happening across all major cities of Gujarat. We also telecast programs named ‘Asmita Vishesh’ and ‘Asmita Sanvaad’ which covers the analysis of special events and interviews of known personalities.
