Aaj Tak has been recently adjudged the Best News Channel at the Sansui Television Awards. This is the second consecutive year that Aaj Tak has won the Sansui Television Award for Best News Channel. Moreover, this is the third Best News Channel Award that Aaj Tak has won in this financial year. Prior to the Sansui Awards, Aaj Tak had won the Indian Television Academy Award for the seventh consecutive year and the Indian Telly Awards for the fifth time.

Sansui Television Award for Best TV Anchor was presented to Prabhu Chawla for the celebrity interview show, ‘Seedhi Baat’. Prior to this, Chawla had won the Indian Television Academy Award for Best Talk Show Host, while ‘Seedhi Baat’ had won the RAPA Award for Best Talk Show.

G Krishnan, CEO, TV Today, said, “This Award marks the end of a very eventful financial year for TV Today. Aaj Tak further consolidated its leadership position in India and further expanded its international footprint by launching in the UK and Europe. I am sure the network will continue to win many more accolades.”

Aroon Purie, Chairman and Managing Director, TV Today, said, “Winning all three best news channel awards clearly demonstrates Aaj Tak’s complete dominance in the news space. I am really happy that Aaj Tak has evolved into a power brand and is synonymous with television news in India.”
