As 2010 drew to a close, Aaj Tak completed 10 years as a 24-hour news channel. Aaj Tak was launched on December 31, 2000 by the TV Today Network, in line with the India Today Group’s mission of exploring the television medium.

The channel, which was started as a 20-minute daily news capsule on the terrestrial network, is also making strides as a leader in the television news space in India and in several international markets like the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, and so on. Aaj Tak has won several accolades, including the Indian Television Academy Award for Best News Channel for a record 10 years in a row.
