Week 48 ratings: SAB TV and Sony see largest gains in ratings, Epic gains ground

Hindi GEC ratings during Week 48 (November 23 – 29, 2014) saw Star Plus, Colors and Life OK fall, while Star Plus, Zee TV, SAB TV and Sony Entertainment Television (SET) saw an increase in top Hindi GECs. SAB TV and SET gained the maximum ratings during the week.

According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for week 48, Star Plus saw ratings fall for the second week in a row. Its ratings this week declined to 625 million GVTs in week 48 from 631 million GVTs in week 47 (November 16 – 22, 2014). In the previous week, Star Plus declined from last week as its ratings fell to 631 million GVTs in week 47 from 658 million GVTs in week 46 (November 9 – 15, 2014).  However, the channel still has maintained a comfortable lead ahead of others.

Colors, at the second spot, took a larger dip in its ratings as it fell to 467 million GVTs in week 48 from 482 million GVTs in week 47. In the previous week, it had, however, witnessed a marginal decline to 482 million GVTs in week 47 from 483 million GVTs in week 46.

Zee TV followed in next with a marginal increase in ratings to 435 million GVTs this week from 433 million GVTs in week 47. The channels ratings saw an increase last week to 433 million GVTs in week 47 from 419 million GVTs in week 46.

Life OK, at fourth spot on the ratings chart, saw its ratings decline marginally to 324 million GVTs this week from 326 million GVTs last week.

SAB TV saw its ratings grow substantially to 299 million GVTs in week 48 from 276 million GVTs in week 47. This comes as a recovery for the channel that previously had seen a drop in its ratings a week earlier to 276 million GVTs from 296 million GVTs in week 46.

SET increased its ratings to 230 million GVTs in week 48 from 207 million GVTs in week 47. This large rise in the ratings comes on the back of last week’s recovery in ratings where it increased to 207 million GVTs from 190 million GVTs in week 46.

Zee Anmol saw a big rise in its ratings to 103 million GVTs in week 48 from 84 million GVTs in week 47. Star Utsav on the other hand saw a marginal decline in its ratings to 65 million GVTs this week from 69 million GVTs in week 47.
