 Aaj Tak and NewsX win News Channel of the Year (Hindi & English) at ENBA

The winners have been announced for exchange4media News Broadcasting Awards 2014 which were held in Delhi today.

The award for News Channel Of the Year (English) was given to NewsX. Aaj Tak was awarded Channel of the Year (Hindi) and it won several awards including Best Current Affairs Programme- Hindi (Koi Lauta De Mere - Aamir), Best Business Programme- Hindi (Shwetpatra), Best Talk Show- Hindi (Third Degree), Best Videographer- Hindi (Prem Chand, Himanshu & Amit Kumar - Ganga Sagar), Best Video Editor- Hindi (Amit Singh & Nitin Bharadwaj - Jeetega Bhai), Best Anchor- Hindi (Anjana Om Kashyap), Best News Producer- Hindi (Kunal Chauhan- Koi Lauta De Mere), Best Channel Marketing- Hindi (Sach On Karo).

NDTV 24X7 won awards for Best Current Affairs Programme- English (Truth vs Hype), Best Talk Show – English (We The People), Best In-depth Series- English (Truth vs Hype), Best News Coverage - National- English (J&K Floods coverage by NDTV), Best News Coverage - International- English (Iraq Islamic State Crisis Coverage by Amitabh Pashupati Revi), Best Public Service Campaign for a Brand by a News Channel- English (Aircel NDTV Save Our Tigers Campaign).

Headlines Today bagged awards for Best Anchor- English (Rahul Kanwal), Best Continuing Coverage by a Reporter- English (T Sudhir - UP South), Best Video Editor- English (Rajeev K Chandan - Lost Lives-Nasir), Best News Producer- English (Tarini Kumar - Centre Stage & Election Express), Best Channel or Programme Promo- English (Election Express).

CNN-IBN took home  awards for Best Videographer- English (Neelakhanta Acharya& N Satish - Cyclone Phailin Coverage), Best Spot News Reporting- English (Karma Paljor & Jajati Karan - Cyclone Phailin Coverage) and Best Integration of a Brand in a News Programme- English (Tata Tea - Power Of 49' In General Elections 2014).

IBN7 won  awards for Best Spot News Reporting- Hindi (Amit Pandey - Kahan Ho Maa), Best Continuing Coverage by a Reporter- Hindi (Amit Pandey - Cancer wala Gaon) and Best Public Service Campaign for a Brand by a News Channel- Hindi ("Idea" presents Citizen Journalist).

Zee News won for Best In-depth Series- Hindi (Dharti Ka Nark) and Best News Coverage - National- Hindi (Mission Kashmir).

CNBC Awaaz won the award for Best News Coverage- International- Hindi (Modi in U.S.- America mein Namo Namo), BBC World News won the award for Best News Coverage by an International News Channel in India- English, Best Videographer- Hindi award was given to India News’ Sarat Chandra Barik - Ardh Satya, while NDTV India won the award for Best Channel or Programme Promo- Hindi (Prime Time with Ravish Kumar).

The award for Young Professional of the Year- Editorial- English went to Rishabh Gulati of News X.

Arnab Goswami was named News Television Editor- in- Chief- English, Sanjay Pugalia of CNBC Awaaz won News Television Editor-in-Chief of the Year- Hindi as did Supriya Prasad, Managing Editor- Aaj Tak.
