Stage set for Golden Mikes 2012

Strap on your seat belts, for the show goes on road tonight as we unveil the best minds behind some of the outstanding campaigns in radio. exchange4media returns with the third edition of Golden Mikes Awards to celebrate creativity in radio and felicitate the minds that effectively exploited the potential of a medium which is otherwise looked at as the red headed step child.

Radio, being non visual in nature, makes it very challenging to create a commercial that gives across the message as strongly as any other visual medium would. While some might say that the medium lacks what is required to attract audiences and marketers, there have been instances where radio campaigns were successful in leaving a mark on the industry.

In its third edition, Golden Mikes returns stronger with more categories, exclusive trophies and enthralling performances.

The esteemed jury of Golden Mikes 2012 includes Sandeep Sharma, President, RK Swamy Media Group – the jury chair; Abraham Alapatt, Head, Marketing, Thomas Cook (India); Mantra, VJ/Anchor/Actor; MK Anand, MD, Disney Media Network (Broadcast); Meeta Vasisht, Veteran Actress; Rameet Arora, Senior Director Marketing, Corporate Communication, Menu Management at McDonalds India; - HRPLFilm & Theatre Actress; Sandipan Ghosh, AVP Marketing, Ruchi Soya Group of Industries; and Yateesh Srivastava, Chief Marketing Officer, Religare Life Insurance Company.

The awards ceremony will take place tonight at Blue Frog, Lower Parel, Mumbai.
