RJ Vaanthi of Radio City Bangalore to represent India at the Salzburg Global Seminar Young Leader’s Summit

RJ Vasanthi, who hosts ‘Breakfast Show’ on Radio City’s Bangalore station, has been chosen to represent India at the Salzburg Global Seminar Young Leader’s Summit in Schloss Leopoldskron, Austria. Vasanthi was nominated by Narayan Murthy, Chairman of the Board and Chief Mentor of Infosys Technologies Ltd. She is one among the 60 young leaders from around the world to represent India at the Summit to be held from December 1-6, 2007.

Apurva Purohit, CEO, Radio City, said, “This is a moment of great pride for all of us at Radio City. Renowned as a people-centric organisation, this acknowledgment celebrates our people and our continued focus on investing in them. We wish Vasanthi the very best.”

To commemorate this accomplishment, Radio City got Narayan Murthy and Arundhati Nag to don the RJ hat along with RJ Vasanthi on the ‘Breakfast Show’, where listeners could catch the dialogue between the three on November 28.

RJ Vasanthi said, “This nomination has come as a complete surprise to me. I would like to wholeheartedly thank Radio City, my listeners for their love, and colleagues for their support. I look forward to representing my country and Radio City at this Global Summit.”

As part of its 60th anniversary celebration, the Salzburg Global Seminar will convene 60 young leaders from around the world to inaugurate Salzburg’s first annual Young Leaders Summit. The purpose of the first summit, and of future summits, is to bring together the next generation of emerging leaders to envision how the world should look in 2030, and to cooperatively develop a global agenda that will begin working towards that goal.
