Red FM elevates Balakrishnan Surendar as COO for south ops

Another management change takes place at Red FM. Balakrishnan Surendar has been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer for Red FM; he will look after the operations of all the south stations.

As reported by exchange4media earlier, Nisha Narayanan has also been appointed as the Chief Operating Office; she will look after the operations of all the other stations.

Commenting on the appointment, Surendar said, “I have been promoted as Chief Operating Officer and will take care of our powerful network of FM stations (Red/Suryan) in South India. It's a very important moment in my life.”

Surendar is currently based in Delhi. He will soon move to Red FM’s head office in Chennai.

Prior to this, Surendar served as the Senior Vice President and National Sales Head at the company. Before Red FM, he has been associated with media organisations such as India Express Group.


Kranti Gada joined the family business at Shemaroo in 2006 after a successful stint of over two years in marketing at Pepsi Co. She has been associated with the company for 12 years.
