RAM Ratings: Big FM leads Mumbai market, Radio Mirchi acquires third spot in week 28

In week 28 (3-9 July, 2016), Big FM, Fever FM, Radio Mirchi and Radio City led the respective markets of Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore. Radio City Bangalore fetched the highest market share among all the radio stations in all four markets. Radio Mirchi replaced Fever FM to acquire the third spot in the Mumbai market. Radio Mirchi replaced Radio City to acquire the second spot in the Delhi market.

Mumbai:

Big FM led the Mumbai market with 16.1 per cent market share and 5.35 TSL. The radio station had 15.3 per cent market share and 5.1 TSL in week 27. Radio City stood at no.2 with 14.3 per cent market share and 4.23 TSL which were 14.4 per cent and 4.44 TSL in the previous week. Radio Mirchi replaced Fever FM to acquire the third spot in week 28 with 13.5 per cent market share and 4.04 TSL as a result of increase in market share from 12.7 per cent although, the it saw a fall in the TSL from 4.1. Fever FM slipped to the fourth spot with 13.5 per cent market share and 6.4 TSL. The radio station had 13.8 per cent market share and 6 TSL in the previous week. Red FM stood at no.5 with 11.1 per cent market share and 3.41 TSL.

Delhi:

In the Delhi market, Fever FM stood firm at no.1 but saw a dip both in the market share and TSL. The radio station fetched 17 per cent market share and 4.27 TSL which were 18.2 per cent and 5.03 in the previous week. Radio Mirchi replaced Radio City to acquire the second spot with 11.5 per cent market share and 3.07 TSL. The radio station had 11.4 per cent market share and 3.14 TSL in the previous week. Radio City slipped to the third spot in week 28 as it saw a dip in the market share. The radio station garnered 10.9 per cent market share and 3.24 TSL which were 11.6 per cent and 3.39 in the previous week. Red FM acquired the fourth spot with 10.3 per cent market share and higher than previous week’s 10.2 per cent market share and 2.58 TSL, less than previous week’s 2.59. Radio Nasha stood at no.5 with 10.3 per cent market share and 4.08 TSL.

Kolkata:

Radio Mirchi fetched 20.1 per cent market share, exactly same as the week 27 and 4.42 TSL and remained at no.1 spot in week 28. Big FM garnered 16.8 per cent market share and 5.19 TSL and stayed at no.2. The radio station had 15.4 per cent market share and 4.5 TSL in the previous week. Fever FM with 13.8 per cent market share, less than previous week’s 14.2 per cent and 5.19 TSL, also less than previous week’s 5.2 TSL remained at no.3.Oye! FM stood at no.4 with 11 per cent market share and 4.02 TSL which were 11.4 per cent and 4.05 TSL in the previous week. Red FM acquired the fifth spot in Kolkata with 9 per cent market share and 3.19 TSL. The radio station had 9.7 per cent market share and 3.01 TSL in week 27.

Bangalore:

Radio City Banglaore with 24.6 per cent market share, more than previous week’s 24.3 per cent and 9.47 TSL, less than previous week’s 9.51, stood at no.1.The radio station fetched the highest market share among all the radio stations across all the markets. Big FM stood at no.2 with 20 per cent market share and 7.31 TSL. The radio station had 20.2 per cent market share and 7.53 TSL in week 27. Radio Mirchi stayed at no.3 with 17.3 per cent market share, same as week 27 and 7.31 TSL, less than previous week’s 7.31 TSL. Fever FM with 14.2 per cent market share and 8.01 TSL remained at no.4. The radio station had 14.5 per cent market share and 8.13 TSL in the previous week. Red FM with 5.3 per cent market share and 3.46 TSL stood at no.5.
