RAM Ratings: Big FM continues to lead, Radio City replaces Radio Mirchi to be No.2 in Mumbai

According to the RAM Ratings of week 20, 2016 (08-14 May), Big FM remained the most heard radio station in the Mumbai market. Radio City replaced Radio Mirchi to acquire the second spot in the market. The Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore markets were led by Fever FM, Radio Mirchi and Radio City respectively. Radio Nasha stepped to the fourth spot in Delhi market.

Mumbai:

In the Mumbai market, Big FM remained the most heard radio station in the Mumbai market but saw a dip in the market share as well as TSL from 18 per cent to 16.9 per cent and 6.04 TSL to 5.52 TSL respectively.  Radio City stepped up to the second spot replacing Radio Mirchi with 16.4 per cent market share and 5.13 TSL which were 14.9 per cent and 5.01 TSL in week 19. Radio Mirchi slipped to the third spot as it experienced a fall in the market share from 15.8 per cent to 14.7 per cent and TSL from 4.34 to 4.28. At No.4, Fever FM saw further decrease in the market share from 13 per cent in week 19 to 11.8 per cent in week 20. In terms of TSL also, the radio station saw a fall from 6.18 to 5.45.  Red FM remained at No.5 with 11.7 per cent market share, less than previous week’s 11.8 percent market share and but a higher TSL of 4.02 in week 20 than 4.01 TSL in week 19.

Delhi:

Fever FM remained the most heard radio station in the Delhi market with exactly the same market share of 18.9 per cent like week 19 but it saw a dip in terms of TSL that is, from 5.07 to 4.55 in week 20. Radio Mirchi remained at No.2 with 13.2 per cent market share, more than previous week’s 13.1 per cent and 3.29 TSL also more than previous week’s 3.1 TSL. Radio City stood at No.3 with 11.7 per cent market share and 3.3 TSL. The radio station had 11.9 percent market share and 3.4 TSL in week 19. Radio Nasha stepped up to the fourth spot with 10.9 per cent market share, higher than previous week’s 9.9 per cent and 3.55 TSL, also higher than previous week’s 3.39 TSL. Red FM with 9.9 per cent market share and 2.55 TSL stood at No.5.

Kolkata:

In the Kolkata market, Radio Mirchi remained to be the most heard radio station with exactly the same market share of 20.2 per cent like week 19 but it lost in terms of TSL from and 4.41 in week 19 to 4.23 in week 20. Big FM remained at the second spot with 16 per cent market share, more than previous week’s 15.4 per cent and 5 TSL, also more than week 19’s 4.41 TSL. Fever FM at No.3 garnered 14.1 per cent market share, less than previous week’s 15.2 per cent and 5.25 TSL also a little more than previous week’s 5.2 TSL. Oye! FM stayed at No.4 with 11 per cent market share which were 10.8 per cent in week 19 and 3.58 TSL which were 4.15 in the previous week. Red FM stood at No.5 with 10.3 per cent market share and 3.13 TSL which were 9.8 per cent and 3.16 TSL in week 19.

Bangalore:

The Bangalore market was led by Radio City with 22.4 per cent market share, less than previous week’s 23.1 per cent market share and 10.14 TSL, more than previous week’s 10.04 TSL. Big FM remained at No.2 with 19.5 per cent market share and 8 TSL. The radio station had 19.1 per cent market share and 7.26 TSL in week 19. Radio Mirchi, at No.3, fetched 18.3 per cent market share, less than previous week’s 18.9 per cent and 7.49 TSL also less than previous week’s 8.1 TSL. Fever FM garnered 14.5 per cent market share which were 14.7 per cent in the previous week and 8.55 TSL which were 8.28 TSL in week 19. Red FM remained at No.5 with exactly the same market share of 5.2 per cent and 4 TSL which were 4.09 TSL in week 19.
